Tropica Elatine hydropiper TC
The creeping habit of this stem-plant highly attractive for creating carpets in the aquarium. The very small leaf size makes it an obvious choice for nano-tanks. Its fresh green colour compliments wood, rocks and other plants extraordinary well and has made the plant increasingly popular. The growth of Elatine hydropiper is quite similar to Hemianthus callitrichoides ‘Cuba’ and Glossostigma elatinoides but considerably slower, making it easier to maintain.
It resembles Glossostigma Elatinoides, but its leaves are smaller. It can form a beautiful foreground carpet in the aquarium, provided that we plant densely and it has CO2 injection with strong lighting. It can also be successfully grown in low-light non CO2 tanks. All-in-all, this is a less demanding beautiful exclusive carpeting plant for your consideration. Kept emersed it will develop small red flowers.
