GreenWorks - Potassium Phosphate fertilizer (KH2PO4) - 200g.
Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4) adds less Potassium (K) and more Phosphate (PO4) to the aquarium water. Phosphate is given a major role in the control of green algae. Dosage based on the Estimated Index (EI) method developed by Tom Barr. The description of the method in Hungarian can be found here , and a complex excel calculator to help you calculate your dosage here .
By adding the right amount of ingredients, you can virtually rule out (!) A symptoms of nutrient deficiency in plants and associated algae growth. (Note: algae growth is not the only cause of plant nutrition deficiency.) For those who are averse to "chemistry", we recommend the Green Aqua liquid plant food composed of dry plant foods. Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4) is supplied in a resealable plastic box that protects the powder from moisture and other damage.
In addition to CO2, we need to add phosphate, potassium, nitrate and trace elements to the aquarium to meet the nutrient needs of aquatic plants. These can be introduced with the following plant nutrients:
- Potassium Nitrate (KNO3)
- Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4)
- Potassium Sulphate (K2SO4)
- Chelated Trace Elements (Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, B, Mo)
The Green Aqua Micro component contains the best and most stable HEDDTA chelates on the market! In the absence of proper chelates, the chemical bonds of the trace element (micro-nutrient) are easily broken and the plants will not be able to absorb the nutrients properly.
