A subtle, creeping marsh plant native to Australia, popularised in the 1980s by Takashi Amono. Now world-famous, it is frequently used in aquaria in the aquascaping style. Successful cultivation requires very good lighting and a good CO2 supply. The easiest way to bed in the delicate shoots is to use plant tweezers. First divide the pot plant into individual pieces, then plant each of these a few centimetres apart.
The algae and snail-free Dennerle In-Vitro laboratory plants can be kept in the box for weeks before planting. Please never open the box before use as the sterile environment can get contaminated and the quality of the product can quickly deteriorate. Rinse off the jelly and cut back the root-ends before planting. The plant can be separated into smaller bunches before use.
