Shrimp - Black Tiger BT0(Caridina cf. cantonensis Black Tiger)

Description: Black Tiger shrimp is easy/medium shrimp to keep suitable for wide water parameters but generally slightly harder water than Crystal Red/Black. These are ideal to help you to clean your tank of uneaten food and algae. They are adaptable to wide range of water parameters but for successful breeding and raising offsprings specific water parameters must be provided. They look amazing and have interesting personality. You will receive them of different size and sex (mostly 1-1.5cm)
Appearance: Black Tiger shrimp has whole body black with orange eyes. When shrimp molts coloration will fade but they will color back in to full black color within few days.
Feeding: Omnivore with majority of vegetable content. Overfeeding of protein can cause health issues. Shrimp will feed on tank algae, algae waffers and almost anything thrown to aquarium.
Breeding: If water conditions are good shrimp will breed readily when matured (3-4 months old). Shrims will carry around 20-30 eggs for around 30-35 days of gestation period. After this period fully developed shrimplets are released. Raising offsprings is more difficult than for neocaradina sp. and females ususally carry less eggs.
Tanks mates: Very small fish or shrimp of similar size. Mixing with other caridina will deliver mixed offspring and is not recommended. Can be mixed with any neocaridina sp. without producing mixed offsprings.
Size: Males 1.5-2cm Females 2-3cm
Aquarium size: Minimum 12-14L
Difficulty: Easy/Medium or similar to high grade CRS/CBS
Water parameters: 17-23C Degrees, PH Range 6.5-7.2, TDS 80-180
