The biOrbAIR uses a treated sterilised coir compost as the growth media to cultivate the plant roots.
The coir compost is placed on top of a capillary matt that draws water upto the compost from a small water reservoir in the base.
The capillary action prevents the plant roots from soaking and rotting. Natural daylight is not necessary as the lighting is arranged in a six LED array at the top of the sphere. This emits the perfect light output for encouraging natural growth and prevents plants bending towards a single light source. The light also works on an automatic 24 hour cycle, simulating sunrise, daylight, sunset and night time.
To discourage stagnation and condensation within the biOrbAIR, a constantly running fan recycles the air through a replaceable carbon filter. A small amount of fresh air is regularly introduced as part of the circulation process.
To maintain the humidity within the micro-climate, water is added using an ultrasonic mister mounted in the top water reservoir. The mister generates the 'swirling' water vapour if the humidity drops below 75% RH.

Our main shipping provider - GLS is only delivering our packages up until a certain weight. In some extreme cases - involving the shipping of big aquariums and furniture - we will calculate a custom shipping cost after receiving your order. We will only ship the purchased products after you have confirmed this shipping cost with us.
Please be informed, we charge an extra 10 EUR / aquarium on all aquarium orders for special packaging and care within the shipping fee.

Our goal is to deliver the plants as quickly as possible to your address, so we are making regular (two times per week) orders to our partners and will send you the fresh plants with GLS as soon as they arrive to us. ALWAYS INSPECT PACKAGES FOR DAMAGES!
Please protect your purchase by always inspecting the package right after delivery. In case of visible damages on the exterior of the package, you will need to sign a written damage form IN THE PRESENCE of the delivery agent! We can only guarantee the replacement or resending of any goods if a written damage form or claims form is filled out at the delivery time! With seamlessly undamaged packages on the exterior, you have seven days to report any missing or damaged goods from the interior of the package.
